The Elections of May 18th

I’d like to talk about the elections from Tuesday May 18th. While there was one election that we, the good guys, should have won, John Murtha’s house seat in Pennsylvania, we had a great day. Overall, the day was highlighted by strong messages sent to Washington. Primarily, the message was sent to the Republican Party, that they better get back to being Republicans or else. The message to Democrats was that your spending, taxing and regulating party is over. Before I go further into the messages, I would like to talk a bit about what happens in America between now and November 2nd. Mr. Blumenthal running for Senate in Connecticut, has now opened up a Senate seat for the Republicans to try to take back. Mr. Blumenthal is a lying weasel, trying to say he served in Vietnam when he did not. This gives the Republicans not only an opportunity to win the seat, but now there are 11 seats open for Republicans, giving us a chance to take back the Senate. That is big folks! There are major pieces of legislation that ruler Obama is trying to have passed and I predict at most only one of them gets passed and sent to his desk. That would be the financial reform bill. A bill that unfortunately is popular with American voters, that will have negative consequences and the Republicans are too chicken to stop. Efforts to pass Crap and Trade will fail, and any new tax proposals are now dead on arrival. This is good, as nothing being done in Washington is now akin to “do no harm.”
So what was the message of yesterdays elections? Well I would agree with Rand Paul from the Tea Party. He said “We’ve come to take back our government.” We are here to save ourselves from a mountain of debt and a president that apologizes for American success and values. Let the Democrats keep thinking that we are just a bunch of right wing nuts; they do so at their own peril this November. I predict we will likely take back the house, and maybe even the senate on November 2nd.
