Obama condemns the ant, blames Bush 43, Bush 41, Reagan and Christopher Columbus for the grasshopper’s plight. Pelosi & Reid exclaim that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share. Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Ant Act. The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs. His home is confiscated and given to the grasshopper. The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant’s food, as the ant’s old house crumbles around them because they don’t maintain it. The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again. The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once prosperous neighborhood. The entire Nation collapses, bringing the rest of the free world with it. THE MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2012.

Sunny,
Thanks for posting this for me.
One question in paragraph two, about a third of the way down. Did you intend to say Anti-”Ant” Act rather than “Grasshopper”? That seems to make more sense to me.
Either way, what a great analogy of what’s really going on in our country. I love the Biblical story of the ant in Prov 6:6-11.
I catch your program on my short ride to work, and you make my day more interesting – thanks!

Bill,
You are right and I have corrected. Good catch.
Glad you enjoy my shows and I’m glad I can be a bright spot in your day!
Sunny
Sunny,
Your stories never fail to get a laugh from me. But they are also sobering truths of how things have become so turned upside down.
Keep up the work!
Thanks.
